Rotary is a unique service club with
an international flavor. Each club is made up of different occupational business
leaders in the community. We have three or four fun and entertaining fund-raisers
during the year to give scholarships both locally and abroad. We promote patriotism
and international understanding. We love to have guests visit us at any of our
Thursday meetings. ~ Mike Stellar,

COACH PITCH BASEBALL LEAGUE 2010
|
The Apex Rotary Club announces the details of their Coach Pitch Baseball League Season. Coach Pitch is for Boys & Girls ages seven and eight. To be eligible to play, a child must be seven years old by May 01 and cannot turn nine years old before June 30, 2010, subject to change.
The purpose of the baseball leagues is to teach baseball fundamentals, promote good sportsmanship and show the value of teamwork. Official scores and win/loss records are not maintained. Practices will start in April and will be held during a week at Lufkin Middle School. Children will have four practices before the first game. Your child's coach will pick the day of the week for practice and there is a place on the registration form that enables you to list one night which you cannot practice. At present, the games will be played at Apex Elementary School on Saturdays starting the first Saturday in May and ending the last Saturday in June. We will not have games the weekend of Memorial Day. The apex Rotary Club reserves the right to change field locations due to unforseen circumstances. Future costs will be published closer to the season and includes a team shirt, hat and a trophy for your child.
